The hotel is ready to roll out a new web-based guest history system. Guests are given a username and password to update their profile and preferences.
For example, a guest could store his frequently dialed numbers under speed dial; post a photograph of a loved one which will be displayed on the touch screen telephone; view share price information in ticker tape format or have live feed from your favourite radio station.
“When you check into the hotel, this information is in our property management system and is uploaded onto the phones,” said Van Vorsselen.
He said guests on their Langham Privilege Club have been asked to go online and update their profiles. “We want our technology to allow our guests to be as connected at least to the same level, if not better.”
