MANILA - The Philippine online travel market, still in its early development stages, is expected to improve fast in the next few years, said Amadeus Philippines GM, Albert Villadolid.
Online travel’s growth in the country is hindered by the fact that Filipinos are heavily documented travellers, being required visas, health passes, travel insurance, among others, which Americans, Europeans and some Asians are not burdened with. These documents are facilitated by travel agencies.
Villadolid said Amadeus is working closely with the travel industry stakeholders to facilitate growth.
