Record high for Singapore March arrivals

SINGAPORE – This city state welcomed 835,000 visitors in March 2007, registering a 1.9 percent growth over the same period a year ago. This was a record high for the month of March.



Visitor days were estimated to reach 3.0 million days, an increase of 12.6 percent in comparison to March 2006.



Singapore’s top five visitor-generating markets were (151,000), PR China (78,000), Japan (57,000), United Kingdom (55,000) and Malaysia (52,000)



These markets accounted for 47 percent of total visitor arrivals for the month.
