THE voting process has been put in place to guarantee fairness and transparency in the decision-making process.

“Thus far we have received thousands of votes in our online voting channel. Some companies are surging ahead winning numerous votes. “Indeed it has been a rewarding exercise! We are overwhelmed by the positive feedback, but more importantly, the supportive commitment and response we have received so far. I would like to express my hearty thank you to all our judges and readers for their contribution and votes to mark the success of the award,” Kwan said.
Candidates for nomination have been based upon the judges’ recommendation. This is considered as one of Asia-Pacific’s most comprehensive travel awards which fetes the stars of the tourism industry the highest accolades of the year.
The categories encompass the full range of travel trade industry — Tourism-related Products and Services, Tourism-related Entities, Personalities, Online and Technology, and Marketing Promotions.
“TravelWeekly (Asia) Industry Award combines expert nomination and reader voting to ensure true industry merit is fairly assessed and openly recognised. Electronic delivery of voting allows convenience and easy access, while voting by category provides options for voting at your own ease and area of expertise,” she said.
The awardees will be feted in a ceremony that will be held during the TravelWeekly (Asia) Industry Awards Night in Hong Kong on June 15.
