Abacus, Safe2Travel set up Virtual Travel Agency in Second Life

SINGAPORE--Abacus International has partnered with Safe2Travel, a Singapore-based travel agency specialising in corporate travel, to set up a virtual travel agency (VTA) in the online community, Second Life.

Brett Henry, vice-president, Agency Marketing for Abacus International said the joint move into Second Life was a research and development rather than purely commercial initiative and was intended to provide valuable lessons for Abacus, Safe2Travel and for the15,000 other travel agency locations who make their travel bookings via the Abacus GDS travel bookings system.
