KUNMING – The Chinese public were treated to a world tour in just one day when CITM 2007 opened its doors to non-delegates on Saturday and yesterday, when it ended its four-day run.
People trooped to different booths in Asia's biggest travel show to check what these have to offer and eagerly gathered brochures and other promotional materials of their favoured destinations.
Perhaps to have a glimpse of their future foreign trip, some gamely posed in front of famous landmarks like the Taj Mahal and beside CITM participants donned in their national costumes.
Some booths were empty and in various stages of packing after the trade part of the \day ended on Friday, but many continued to be staffed and enthusiastic in showing the people of Kunming why they should consider their respective tourism products.
Following tradition of alternate hosting, CITM will be held in Shanghai next year. |
