Chaophya Park Hotel, Bangkok launches new mandarin language web site

Daily news, 09 Nov 2007

BANGKOK – Now in three languages, the Chaophya Park Hotel, Bangkok, launched its new-look website www.chaophyapark.com recently, to provide more personalized customer care enabling guests to explore its corporate website in one of three languages of their choice.

The innovative site opens its virtual doors to the international public, responding to current demands and further demonstrates the company’s aggressive expansion. With this new feature, web users can access the Chaophya Park Hotel site not only in Thai and English, but in Mandarin as well.

“By making our website content available in multiple languages, the Chaophya Park Hotel is better able to respond to the universality of the internet and satisfy market demands. English is generally accepted as the business language of Asia however, Thai and Mandarin language sites are important, in order to show that we are serious about doing business in this new age of speed and connectivity. If we are to tap into the 1.3 billion Chinese Market with an estimated 34 million outbound holiday makers, then Mandarin language is essential,” GM Andrew Wood said.

“Chinese arrivals in Thailand stood at over one million last year, up from 761,904 the previous year, with growth of 11.37% expected this year. This is a market that will dominate Asian tourism planning in the next 5 years along with India. We have to raise the bar in our marketing effort, if we are to gain improved market share, especially in the lucrative corporate sector,” he added.
