STB pushes for tourism careers at Career 2008

SINGAPORE – The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) urgeS students, mid-career switchers and job seekers, including people considering returning to work, to visit the The Pavilion of Tourism – A Journey of Discovery at CAREER 2008 & EDUCATION 2008 to gain a better understanding of the tourism industry and career opportunities available.



Participating co-exhibitors at the tourism pavilion include hotels and hotel groups; tourism training schools such as Tourism Management Institute of Singapore and Singapore Hotel and Tourism Education Centre; The Marina Bay Sands; Singapore Zoo and Jurong BirdPark; and Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. They will be looking to actively recruit jobseekers for open positions, as well as potential students for courses. In addition, they will be available to counsel jobseekers on the potential of a career in tourism and participating in a range of activities on the weekend.



CAREER 2008 and EDUCATION 2008 will be held from February 28-March 2, 2008 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention Centre Halls 601-603, Level 6 from.
