Queen Victoria makes maiden call at Port Klang

KUALA LUMPUR – As part of her 2008 World Cruise –Pathway to the Explorers – Queen Victoria (QV) entered Malaysian waters and anchored at Port Klang on March 19, 2008.

QV is Cunard Line’s newest cruise liner and one of the world’s most opulent passenger vessels. The cruise liner is hailed as the most luxurious Cunarder ever built.

Some 2,000 passengers and 1,003 crew members disembarked for their shore excursions to Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

The QV set sail on January 13, 2008, from New York on her Pathway to the Explorers maiden World Cruise, bound for 36 cities in 23 countries, including Kota Kinabalu, Port Klang and Penang. She will circumnavigate the globe in a westbound direction, transiting through the Panama and Suez Canals, and sailing across the South Pacific.
