Emaar MGF ties-up with Marriott for four hotels in India

Daily news, 09 Apr 2008

MUMBAI – Indian real estate developer Emaar MGF has partnered with Marriott International to design, construct and equip luxury-branded JW Marriott Hotels in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and a Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Amritsar. The hotel projects, costing over US$400 million, are likely to be completed by end 2010.

As part of the agreement, Emaar MGF will be the owner and developer of the proposed hotels and Marriott International shall provide advisory and management services for the planning, design, construction and operations.

The proposed 300-room JW Marriott Delhi, Jasola will be a lifestyle destination hotel located in Delhi’s fast emerging commercial hub. It will have ample banquet and meeting facilities, and a state of the art business center, complemented by ultra luxury retail and a spa

Down south in Hyderabad, the planned 250-room JW Marriott will come up at HITEC City as a part of Emaar MGF’s sprawling 531-acre integrated township in the IT hub of Hyderabad.

The 250-key JW Marriott Kolkata will be complemented with an assortment of collective amenities including a spacious and tranquil pool terrace and spa, high-end restaurants and trendy eateries.

Courtyard by Marriott Amritsar will be the first business hotel in the city that grows in business and industry profile. A 112-room property with mix-land use, will be constructed along with a vibrant Metropolitan mall and a multiplex.
