DTCM, co-participants satisfied over market response at GIBTM 2008

Daily news, 11 Apr 2008

DUBAI – The co-participants of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in the Gulf Incentives, Business Travel and Meetings (GIBTM) exhibition 2008 have expressed their satisfaction and pledged to attend the show with more vigour and enthusiasm next year.

DTCM made its presence felt in the event with 33 co-participants from its booming tourism industry to promote and market the emirate as an ideal year-round MICE destination.

The three-day fair concluded yesterday at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It was the second consecutive year of DTCM’s participation in the show.

Saleh Al Geziry, director overseas promotions, termed the show as successful as far as the participation of DTCM is concerned. “The co-participants expressed their satisfaction and they considered the event as a good opportunity to market their services, establish contacts within the industry and potential clients and witness the level of interest of the concerned quarters including industry professionals, event organizers and service providers”, he said.

Al Geziry said the growing number of co-participants reflects the importance of the event and surely it would help the cause of the tourism industry in the region. He said it was heartening to note that the co-participants and other concerned quarters were committed and loyal to the event and were willing to participate in the show in the coming years also.
