Black Eyed Peas member to promote Philippine tourism

MANILA – Hip-hop artist apl.d.ap (a.k.a. Allan Pineda), the half-Filipino, half-American member of the Black Eyed Peas, recently met with Philippine Tourism Secretary Ace Durano to discuss possible joint efforts to promote the country to global Filipinos and foreign tourists.

Talks are in place to make apl.d.ap a Philippine tourism promoter. The Department of Tourism and the marketing arm of the Black Eyed Peas are further collaborating on other activities to encourage the young travel population to visit the islands through music.
