BA to increase fuel surcharge

LONDON – British Airways will increase its fuel surcharge on all tickets issued from Friday May 2, 2008. The decision reflects continuing high oil prices.

Fuel surcharge for short haul flights will increase from £10 per flight to £13 (US$25.57) per flight (£26 return).

Fuel surcharge for long haul flights of less than nine hours will increase from £53 to £63 (US$123.93) per flight (£126 return).

The surcharge for long haul flights of more than nine hours will increase from £64 to £79 (US$155.41) per flight (£158 return).
