Sheraton expands into Okinawa, Japan

SINGAPORE – Sheraton marks its entry into Okinawa with the signing of a new property in the Japanese holiday destination. To be developed with Japan’s with Joint Hospitality Co., Ltd, the new-build Sheraton Okinawa Ginowan Hotel in Japan is targeted to open in 2010.

The new 245-room Sheraton will be located in Ginowan City, on the west coast of Okinawa main island, approximately a 15-minute drive from Naha City, the capital of the Okinawa prefecture and approximately 40 minutes from Naha airport. The hotel will be in close proximity to the Okinawa Convention Center as well as Ginowan Port Marina.
