I read Talking Point (Of heartache leaves and the boot camp) on Travel Weekly May 08 and I think it will be a dream come true if all ladies can be offered a sales shopping leave. Like yesterday after work, I just couldn’t squeeze into Sogo Department work because it was on sale! But I can’t agree that women take more heartache leaves than men every year.
The world has been changed, I think women nowadays work too hard and take very few sick leave, while men are “less strong” and take more sick leave; I say this with a smile. I have observed this over the past few years. However, Tourism Australia has a scheme that encourages our staff to take a leave called “no leave, no life”. Those who have taken over 50 percent of their accumulated annual leave will be entitled to three days extra leave as bonus. But it is hard to achieve because there is too much work to do!
