SYDNEY – Virgin Blue will be effecting a major expansion of international flights to and from Sydney, adding new routes Sydney-Auckland, and Sydney-Vanuatu (Port Vila) and increasing flights between Sydney and Fiji (Nadi) to a daily service.
From October 14, nine weekly return Pacific Blue services will operate on the key trans-Tasman Sydney-Auckland route. From October 16, twice-weekly flights will operate between Sydney and Vanuatu (Port Vila).
Flights between Sydney and Nadi have also received a boost going from five times a week to daily direct services bringing an additional 360 seats to the route in each direction.
This news follows hot on the heels of Virgin Blue’s recent announcement to launch daily direct flights between Melbourne and Auckland.
Seats for the new flights are already on sale.
