HO CHI MINH CITY – A group of Spanish experts are on a visit to Vietnam’s central city of Hue to help outline a master plan regarding the development of the tourism industry in the city, a VNA report said.
The Spanish team held a working session with the leaders of Hue city and Thua-Thien Hue province last week, where they reported on the results of their recent local survey.
They stressed the city’s tourism potentials, including tangible and intangible cultural values, and looked at other factors that could transform the city into a major tourism centre in Vietnam.
The Spanish experts expressed their hopes to receive pro-active cooperation from local authorities so that they can deliver a good plan on schedule.
The Spanish government provided EUR150,000 (US$189,000) for the project, which is expected to help the city boost its socio-economic development. |
